Motorola and Sentivision to Provide Set-Tops for Japanese IPTV Rollout
Sentivision Video Server (SVS)
Sentivision Video Server software allows to build a Video On Demand Streaming and Distribution System that enables operators and service providers to deliver video content over an IP network. Both High Definition and Standard Definition are supported with video content replication performed over the network backbone.

Guaranteed Fault Tolerance and Error Resiliency
Sentivision Video Servers make use of software features for error resilient video payload delivery to STB devices throughout the network. Fault tolerance is guaranteed through the use of efficient redirect algorithms for RTSP session redirection, and TCP retransmissions for minimizing impact of server-side packet-loss on video content quality.
Efficient Content Distribution for Bandwidth Savings
Servers are deployed as either Master or Slave nodes. Master Node acts as a centralized load balancer for video streaming and/or download traffic, while Slave Nodes distributed throughout a network handle the actual content delivery to customer devices in the field. Video Content replication between Master and Slave nodes helps maintain storage efficiency and content availability by automatically distributing content when needed throughout the Slave nodes.
Video Content Security
Sentivision Video Servers take advantage of 3rd party DRM/CAS and video data encryption solutions to securely store and distribute video content. Pre-integrated plugin modules may be utilised to ensure proper storage, aggregation and delivery of Movies over a network backbone.
Server Monitoring
SVS can report session status, data streaming and replication statistics and a number of alarm (hardware and software) and error conditions through the use of XML-RPC or SNMP.
